Kate Yurkovic is an American born artist and designer who relocated to Australia in 2013. Now a permanent resident, she’s worked and lived in New South Wales meeting fascinating people and cataloguing fascinating experiences. Kate has has the pleasure of showing her drawings and collages at a number of venues in Australia and abroad, and has worked with the Sydney Collage Society since 2016.
Kate takes inspiration from principals of human centred design, geometry and a bold colour theory. Having worked in secondary and adult education, one of her key passions is in design principals that suit a wide swath of audiences including neurodiversities. Good design principals start with an understanding of the objective and audience so planning to cast a wide net facilitates success.
